16 jeunes de 9 à 12 ans sont montés au sommet du Mont Chiran par la Palud sur Verdon le 10 juillet et redescendus le 13 juillet sur Blieux dans le cadre du projet Les Jeunes au Sommet.

On the 12th and the 13th of July 2018, the 4th edition of Youth at the Top brought together more than 530 young people in 44 destinations all over the Alps and the Carpathians. The youngsters experienced two days hiking and spending the night in the mountains. During these two days, several activities took place in order to stregthen their links with the mountains and to raise their awareness on the importance of nature protection and conservation. The impacts of Climate Change on mountain ecosystems were the topic of a common thematic action that helped the youngsters understand how climate change has been affecting nature and the environment and which actions can be implemented in order to reduce these impacts.

Nous nous réunissons avec deux autres structures jeunesse afin de gravir l'Outhéran. Le premier jour nous ferons connaissance avec une jeune chevrière qui nous expliquera son travail au quotidien. Nous dormirons à la belle étoile et nous préparerons des activités liées à la lumière.

Ce seront 3 accueils de loisirs au Col de la Cayolle et environ 110 enfants jeudi 12 juillet!

Randonnée en direction d’un des plus hauts sommets de la Réserve naturelle de Sixt-Passy, encadrée par un Accompagnateur En Montagne labellisé et l’animateur de la réserve naturelle.

Im Nationalpark Kalkalpen erlebst du echte Waldwildnis - hier leben seltene Tiere, sogar Luchse. Wir erforschen ihren Lebensraum und finden heraus, wie man Tierspuren erkennt. Auf unseren Streifzügen durch den Wald suchen wir einen versteckten Schatz. Wir machen mit einfachen Hilfsmitteln Feuer, bauen uns einen Unterschlupf im Wald und nutzen auch die Dunkelheit für spannende Aktivitäten. Außerdem lernst du neue Freunde kennen.

For the first time, Youth at the Top invites all participants to plan a thematic action within a common topic during the event.

The common topic for this 4th edition is Climate Change and its impacts on mountain ecosystems.

The Alps in my backpack was created by members of the Working Group “Mountain Environmental Education in Alpine Protected Areas” and is a multifunctional pedagogical tool to be used in animations on the field, in connection with the Alps, the mountain heritage and the alpine protected areas. Measuring 240 x 150 cms and printed on a resistant fabric, it presents the map of the Alps and their main protected areas.
